OC Shower

Given by Aunt Kathy with help from Gail. It included family from Andy's side and a few of my friends from high school. And of course my mom & sis. It was intimate and personal with a really heartfelt devotion led by Kathy. And we had tea & scones and finger sandwiches. Really really nice!

My friend, Kristin, and I with the quilt she made us! She also made us burp cloths and receiving blankets. I just love getting handmade stuff!

Tea, scones, fruit and finger sandwiches... yum!

He seems to be the right size and is definitely in the right position. =)
We only got a picture of his head because he is too big!

The "Nursery"

...aka the south side of our bedroom.

Here's a close-up of our baby wardrobe (formerly the entertainment unit). This picture was pre-crib, but you get the idea. We took out the TV, books and DVD's and added a tension rod for hanging clothes and four big baskets for more clothes and cloth diapering supplies. The changing station will eventually be where you see that crystal photo frame right now. The drawer beneath is emptied and will be stocked with changing supplies.

Grandpa and Grandma purchased the crib for us. It was a purchase they claimed the very night we announced our pregnancy. =) Andy's mom helped us out by donating her van and while we were there, she decided she would buy us the mattress and mattress pad as well. Thank you Gail! So Andy and Grandpa set up the crib and then we had a good time donning it with all the appropriate bedding. It's so fun to come into the room and see it all set up! Now all we need is a beautiful French Renaissance tapestry with a circus or Carnivale theme to hang over the crib. Any ideas? ;-)
